Barça Ready for First Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
Barça revealed they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition 30 months after they moved out for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium in early November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
