In a surprising crossover event that defies usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.
The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also introduces the game's third free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
